Practice beautiful Japanese handwriting.

Practice kanji, hiragana and katakana with your iPad and Apple Pencil. Watch the strokes, then trace the character. You can also practice with a guide or write from memory.

Feedback for your next attempt

Get a grade and feedback on details such as shape, balance, stroke order and line quality. Compare your writing with the model and choose what to practice next.

Grading needs an internet connection. For AI grading, Penshuu sends an image of your handwriting to Google Gemini.

Choose kanji by JLPT level or follow the Kyōiku Kanji track, organized by Japanese school grades 1 to 6.
